Our Impact
BLCP is a community based organization located in Bondo-Siaya County founded in 2017.
Through the initiative of community members and support by Mikinduri Children of Hope-Canada. MCOH is Canadian based NGO whose mission is to “help relieve the effects of poverty in Kenya, by working with local leaders, churches, government agencies, and international partners; and to provide appropriate resources and knowledge to assist the people of Kenya to help themselves”.
What we do
As an itergrated sustainable development model ,this project intends to work in five thematic areas which are mentioned below with the activities encountered.
Community health
Health and nutrition are interrelated; the Health programme targets two main components; Community health and Institutional health.
Education sponsorship
Education is a key driver of change and has the potential of defining the narrative about households/individuals
Food Production
Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) are key to increasing the productivity of their agricultural commodities.
Library development
Waterborne diseases such as cholera and dysentery spread are prevalent in the lake region and associated islands.
