LIBRARY OPERATION
Dr. Benard Mware Library is sponsored by MCOH-CANADA/ Beyond Limitation Community Based Organization Bondo Kenya, managed in partnership with Mageta Community and Okombozi community Based Organisation.
Mageta Island Resource Centre was constructed by Siaya County Government, Renovated and Constructed to the community. Library was Funded by Elementary teachers’ Federation of Antario and MCOH Canada. Project Implemented by Beyond Limitations (BLCP) Bondo.
The library was launched officially on 10th May 2023 and handed over to the community of Mageta Island by the donors from Canada.
During launching, the Canadians, BLCP staffs and board members presided over the official launching. Kenya National Library Services [Kisumu] representative was present and donated curriculum books to boost the new facility and improve the education standards. The librarian urged the local community and leaners at large to utilize the library and the services available to enhance their scope of knowledge and academic performance.Â

One is required to fill out an application and present it at the information desk in the library for registration.
One is required to have a membership card
Members are allowed to borrow up to two books at a time
The initial period should be 3 days; however, you can request the librarian to renew this by a further three days
